Daily or simple makeup
We will define the steps for daily or simple
makeup here. For details, you
can refer to our article for
that particular product:
-
Moisturize your face, especially people with dry
skin.
-
Apply foundation that matches your natural skin
tone for a smooth skin
effect.
-
Apply powder for that flawless look to your face
and matte down any shiny
areas on your face. Gently
tap the powder pad on the

applying it on the face to
shake off any excess powder.
-
Blush adds color and freshens up your face
instantly.
-
Pluck your eyebrows, apply eye shadow, eyeliner
and mascara and do eye
makeup very very carefully.
If you are not confident,
leave this part out
completely.
-
Classic, tried and tested natural/neutral color
combinations are best for
eyes, unless you are quite
an expert.
-
Define the lips using the lip liner and fill up
the lip color using the
brush.
-
You may use lip-gloss too for a sexier look.
-
A tinge of shine powder can instantly transform
you for that evening party.

Bridal Make up Tips

-
BridaBridal makeup plays an
integral role in complimenting the bride's
facial features, gown and accessories and it
must complement each of these wedding elements.
-
A trial makeup session a few
weeks before the big day helps to gain insight
into the cosmetic possibilities for the bride
and experiment with the look she may finally
decide on-be it ultra-glamorous, demure and
dignified, lush and vibrant or cool and
composed.
-
Skin rejuvenation treatments are
good for brides with normal skin a few weeks
before the wedding as this helps rid the skin of
dead cells and gives a radiance glow; but brides
with oily skin should avoid harsh skin
treatments as these can cause over activity of
the sebaceous glands, leaving skin more oily.
Using mild cleansers and balancers made
specifically for specific skin types, is a
better bet.
-
For a flawless complexion, the
first step is application of moisturizer about
twenty minutes before applying makeup and a bit
of oil-based under eye concealer oil-based (in
anticipation of possible water works after the
ceremony).
-
Light wearing foundation with a
dusting of face powder over it sets the makeup
in well and to live up to the tag of a blushing
bride, one is advised to go in for a powder
blush-on, which is longer lasting than the
creamy counterparts.
-
To light up the eyes, many brides
opt for an eyelash perm, which lasts about 9
weeks but using eye shadow primer, then applying
a neutral shadow over the eye and prepping the
eyelids with a little face powder can gain an
equally lush effect. An off-white pencil lining
the inside of the lower rims of the eyes can
brighten them up. Double coat of waterproof
mascara is the final touch for the eyes.
-
Brides and kissing go hand in
hand and for luscious lips on the wedding day,
it is recommended that the lips are touched with
lip base/balm and outlined with a lip liner
first, filled with extra layer of long-wearing
matte-color and a hint of gloss to help the
lipstick stay on.
Party Makeup
-
Start with a matching shade of
foundation. Apply a darker shade on the broader parts
of your face which you want to recede.
-
Apply powder and then blush on your
cheeks, adding color gradually. Use some
blusher
on the sides of the forehead and chin also.
-
Use an eye shadow kit with a high
lighter. Apply some high lighter on the space beneath
the brows. Apply the medium color on upper eye lid
only. Swap the darkest shade on the crease, between the
two shades and blend well.
-
Put a little dark eye shadow also
beneath the eyes, touching the lower lash line, with a
thin brush. Start from the outer corner and extend it
just a little, may be till the middle. See what suits
you. This adds more color to your eyes.
-
Define your eyes with a kajal and an
eye liner. Sweep two
coats
of mascara. Apply a final coat of colored mascara if
you wish. Apply
